Goddess of the Forests, Mistress of the Fae, Lady of the Wild, Forest Mistress

“Abide the Natural Laws you must, In perfect love and perfect trust, Eight words Atura’s Rede fulfill, If it harm none, do what ye will, Lest in ye self-defense it be, Ever mind the Rule of Three, Carry this in mind and heart, And merry ye shall meet, And merry ye shall part.”

The second daughter of Gishra, Atura is Prime Material goddess that travels all the known forests to the world. She is often venerated by nonhuman races such as elves, forest gnomes, and firbogs. Her clergy are typically shamans and monks that live only to defend the forests from unnecessary destruction. Many druids and rangers follow the edicts of this goddess because her nature typifies their own way of life.

Dogma

The mistress of the Fate holds dear to her heart the divine knowledge that growth and death are part of the eternal cycle. The wild is not to be feared for the wild ways are the old ways, the good ways. It is the role of the faithful to nurture the wild, the forest, and the plants. It is the role of the faithful to pursue the continuation of the Balance set forth before time. Live as one with the wild and the forest and teach others to do the same.

Tenets

Like her older sister, Anthia, Atura partakes of the Laws of the Wild. However, her laws are known as the Tuath Dargiana (The Laws of the Forest).

1) Defend every living aspect of the forest and the Wild Lands.

2) Punish all those that would destroy the forest needlessly.

3) Keep the hidden ways of life.

4) Tend to the forests, aid them when they are in need.

5) Call forth a child of the forest, once every fortnight, and service it as though it were a king.
