The great capital of Bragih is the ancenstral home of the Morinog linage, which can be traced back to the founding of the village nearly 900 years ago. It is a huge city, built upon itself like some great modular city of blocks. There are parts of the city that are nearly 800 years old, parts that are evil, forgotten and left to the darker side of the city.

The capital is built upon the ruins of the village and town of Bragih, ancient ruins that are buried deep beneath the current day city. Beneath the city there is a gigantic maze of sewers, tunnels and holes. Here in the darkness, filth and the discarded items of the city exists an entirely different city of Bragih, known as the Filth of Bragih. It is home to dark creatures, evil groups and often the home of the poor, the destitute and mad. It is situated in the forest covered Hills of Pantha.

Bragih was named for the ancient leader of the first village to settle here in the north, Bragih Morinog. Bragih was said to be a gigantic of a man, some say that he was a firbog that took a human wife, and thus his lineage was born. There may be some truth to this as the descendents of Bragih tend to be larger than normal northerners, who tend to be huge by birth.

The city covers nearly 50 square miles, a huge city by comparison to the other cities and towns of the other Northern Realms. There are many large streets, roads and alleys that cut through the city, giving the whole city a square-like look. This is a result of many battles and fires that the city has endured during its existance, the city has allowed this natural squareness to build large blocks of buildings, seperated by very wide streets in order to keep the whole city from burning down. Each of this blocks is home to several hundred individuals, stores, inns and taverns. The blocks are further divided into smaller blocks by a number of alleys, and backstreets.

The city is divided into sections called Purlieus’. There are is the Merchant Purliues, the Royal Purliues, the Art Purliues, the Upper Purliues, the Lower Purliues, the Middle Purliues and finally the great Graveyard of Bragih.

The center of the city is made up of the Royal Purliues, extending behind the Purliues is the Graveyard, a huge enclosed park. Around these two areas extend the Merchant, Art, Upper, Lower and Middle Purliues’.

The Queen commands a standing army of 15,000 soldiers which reside in the Royal Purilues. These soldiers are divided into 3 garrisons of 5,000 beings. These garrisons are made up of heavy infantry, light footmen, pikemen, archers, musketmen, and groups of skirmishers. These are experiences men and women of various races and are utterly loyal to the Queen.

The major military threats come from the Vast and the more northern nations of goblins, giants, monsters and mad men. There are also a number of small armies that reside in the Sazar Crys Mountains that raid the various villages and towns within the Kingdom. In addition, because the size of the kingdom many small bands of bandits and evil beings exist in the forest taking advantage of travelers and the towns, villages and cities of the kingdom.

Crime exists in the Capital as it does in nearly all large cities through out the face of Kralis. It is also likely not to change without the inception of a militant state, which is something that the Queen refuses to do. It was attempted once, nearly 100 years ago, this resulted in a mass rebellion of the citizens as everyone was treated as a criminal.

Officially, the Monarchy recognizes four major criminal organizations, and treats these organizations with an iron hand. These organizations are: The Dark Scorpion, The Iron Knives, Cult of the Dead, and the Dead Warriors. These four groups are the major crime organizations within the city, the are constantly watched by the Judge’s Patrol. There are many minor organizations, off shoots of the larger organizations that move about the city, however, these groups have proven much less a threat to the state of the Kingdom.
