Stretching southward from the dark ice of Iztalik and splitting the Northern Realms nearly in half, the Ceitha Mountains are home to the various barbarian clans of Ceithlenn. However, prior to the arrival of the isande and junde clans that make up the barbarian tribes, the Ceitha Mountains were home to many different races.

Hidden deep beneath the roots of the mountains lies the ancient dwarven and fyrgin realm of Ghunthas. This realm is thought to be the earliest encroachment of mortal kind, other than monsters, in the Northern Realms.

The mountain range it self is filled with dark caves and long lost passages that have been known to extend a into the DeepEarth realms. It is from these dark holes that grat clans of Oracs and Orcs have made life wihtin the Ceitha Mountains difficult. In the long history of the mountains these murderous monsters have banded together many times to storm out of the dark valleys, and high mountain peaks to attack not only the barbarians but also much of the Northern Realms.

It is also the head waters of no less then three major rivers: The Bright Water River which runs from the southern tip of the mountain range and divides Ta' Kanasiti from the Kingdom of Panthias. The Darigog River that runs from the upper western region of the mountains through the western lowlands of Ceithlenn and eventually splits Myanothia cleanly in half. The Darigog is later joined by the rivers Ulthan from eastern Alisanos and Kurth from the springs along the Via' Asthierr Mountains.

The river is deep flowing allowing merchant ships to travel from the Sea of Dragons to as Far north as the lowland of Ceithlenn.
