Church of Elal
From World of Kralis
The church of Elal is the largest and most popular amongst all the various faiths in Kralis. It is devoted to the deity of life, creation and light. Members of the church are fanatical in their loyalty and devotion to the god. They believe that giving their lives up in struggle against evil and chaos is the one path that leads to their salvation from the vileness in life and in death. Worshipers of Elal include magic users, healers, builders, and any one that fights for the side of what is good and just.
The church can be found in nearly every major city through out the world, and often times in many of the lesser towns and villages on the edge of the wilderness and darkness.
It is a highly organized church that has great secrets that it holds close, known only to a few higher ranking priests and priestess. The whole organization is highly secretive in its internal workings, but is very open in its overall believe system and ranking, were high ranking members are known and every one knows of everyone else, who are the leaders, etc.
It is a well equipped church, well organized and populated by believers who understand Elal's will and are willing to sacrifice themselves in order to further the greater good of Elal.
The church is headquartered in Dardura Sheva. The church has roughly 40,000 clergy members (made up of priests and magic users) and close to one and half million worshipers. The core of the church is highly militaristic, that maintains a strict hierarchy. Despite this internal rigid and often secretive structure of command it operates openly through out the world. Members are fully aware of who they report to and who reports to them. Unless a specific plan requires the utmost secrecy, members are often informed of the goings on of the church on a regular basis. Members are very open about their affiliations and openly wear the symbol of Elal, even in the darkest regions of Kralis.

This authority is nearly absolute, in order to assure that the Viscar keeps within the teachings, direction and dogma of Elal, Elal selects a Guardian of Faith. These two individuals work together to ensure that the faith is kept true.
Motivation and Goals
Amongst its primary goals of defending the world from the encroachment of evil from Azahak, Mala and Udarak, the church also attunes itself to showing the world the majesty of of Elal through creation of new and unusual items, helping those that are unable to help themselves, establish new villages in remote places. Members are charged with teaching others of the importance of the cycle of life and death.

In addition, every meal is spent reading the philosophical writings of other priests on the nature of the All Father.

The church counts amongst its allies the churches of Gishra, Daemah, Magnara and Odiryn. In addition, the Knights of Elal while a separate group under its own direction, are often considered the Sword and Shield of the church. The two often work very closely in rooting out evil and corruption through out Ta Los. The greatest ally is the Empire of Baar Dysh whose state religion is that of Elal.

Create Life
Power Rank: 12
Range: 0'
Duration: Permanent
Area: 1 creature
Activation Time: 1 Week
Defense: None
Through the use of this spell and the grace of El a priest is able to cause life to spring up and come into existence. Unlike the sole power of deities to create any life that they see fit from absolutely nothing, priests that use this power are not so free. Priests can create any animal life (See Talarius Beastiary), or any creature up to 20 ranks below the priests current rank.
The priest may only create 1 large creature, 2 medium creatures, 4 small creatures, or 6 tiny creatures. This process takes 1 full week. During this time the priest must sculpt and create the form(s) of the creature from dark red soil, into this he must place a pure, red diamond.
Once he has done this he must then give of his own life by sacrificing his entire Health Point total, reducing himself to 0 HP as his blood flows into the form. Once the priest recovers, he then must cover the entire form with a silken shroud. He must have all this done before sunset of the fourth day. During the next three days the creature that the priest was creating begins to become flesh and bone. This process is completed by dusk of the seventh night.
This new creation must then be given a soul. This can occur in two ways: if the form was created for a specified recently departed spirit, then that spirit can take possession of the form; second, the form can be inhabited by any free spirit or apparition that is within the area.. If this is not done with 1 day after the form has been created, the whole form crumbles into red dust. This whole process can also be ruined should the silken shroud be removed or in anyway disturbed.
