City of Iron

Founded in 10,000 B.F.A. the City of Iron or Drikoz was established by the pit fiend Khalazorix and a legion of fire fiends. The city is located deep within the lower regions of DeepEarth. Built upon a large island of granite in the center of a cavern surrounded by lava flows, with thick iron walls that circumvent the city. The whole of the city glows with an infernal red from the glow of the lava flowing around and through the city. The outer walls are scorched from thousands of years of lava bursts and fending off invading legions of other fiends and demons, not to mention the occasional armies of fir darrig and aurox. Palls of smoke rise up to form a general dark haze over the entire city.

The city proper is filled with thousands of buildings, many are stacked upon each other, often rising several hundred feet into the dark grey smoke floating above the city. There are many palatial mansions of important fiends, demons, as well as various other races bent on evil and swearing allegiance to Khalazorix. Screams of prisoners and captives can be heard echoing through out the streets. The sound of their lamentations are often heard coming from various vents on the streets.

A number of sections within city are host to markets and bazaars. They are filled with many different types of creatures both from around the region and from the above world. Most are seeking to buy or sell unique, exotic and rare items, others are looking to hire mercenaries and soldiers of fortune for dark, vile work.

Despite the depths of the city, the oppressive heat and fiendish residence the streets are filled with mortal beings, fiends and demons.
