Crys Hills
From World of Kralis
The hills of Crys, or Crys Hills or better known as the Dragon's Teeth, run along the foot of the Sazar Crys Mountains. They are rough, torn hills where large heads of sharp granite protrude from the ground in jagged form through out the hills, some rising nearly 200 feet in height, and look very much like the teeth of dragons. They are covered in a thick forest of aspen and patches of thick fir trees and other lush northern vegetation that hides well the sudden drop offs of sheer granite cliffs, deep gulleys and hidden streams that filter down from the mountains.
The hills are well known for their deep mines where red steel ore is often mined, as well as for the forts that take up position around these mines to protect them from marauding monsters and small armies that invade from the mountains.
There are a number of villages that make their home nestled in the crannies of these high hills, where ever flat ground can be found and fields planted for harvesting. The aspen and fir here is harvested for lumber and often makes its way far to the south.
The hills are legendary for their craggy caves that often lead to openings to the DeepEarth Realms.
