The Southern World as it is often referred is the last part of real land before one finds himself on the glacial floes of the deep southern regions where there is very little daylight and it is constantly snowing.

The land known as Gashinar borders the Blood Sea and the Sea of Tarn, where the warm waters of the south still carry heat southward. It is a land of severe contrasts for nearly 500 miles from the shores of the Blood Sea and the Sea of Tarn the lands are extremely warm, covered in a lush jungle with very few hills and no mountains.

As one draws closer to the 500 mile mark inland, the land suddenly shifts from lush jungles to a very harsh world of cold ice. From the edge of the jungle on it becomes a cold, dry and windy continent that is considered a desert. This portion of the land is covered in low rolling hills, cold forests and rivers of ice. The deep interior of the land is filled with sheets of ice floe, giant glacial rivers that are ever moving and ever feeding the various oceans that surround the continent.

There are a number of barbarian tribes and others that do not wish to be found, that make this winter desert and jungle home. It is home to a great deal of life, despite the constant cold, much of which are gigantic monsters and gigantic versions of common animals (sabertooth lions, giant walrus, and ice worms).
