Special Abilities

Adhesive The creature exudes a thick slime over its body that acts as a powerful adhesive, holding fast any creatures or items touching it. Creatures or items can be pulled off a living creature if a successful Strength check at a TS of 1 per size of the creature above small is made. This can be attempted once per phase per limb that is stuck to the creature or hold that the monster has on the target (being attached to the body increases the TS by +2 per size).

Battle Frenzy When the creaure becomes Battered, the creature flies into a battle frenzy until it is killed or is returned to a non-battered state. The creature becomes immune to critical hits, the creature gains +30 to its attacks and +15 to its Physical Defense.

Black Cloud The creature can release a thick choking, toxic black cloud twice per day. Any being, besides other creatures of the same type, that are within 10’ per size of medium or greater must make a Stamina check (every turn) at a TS equal to 1 per Willpower Modifier or instantly take 10 points of choking damage per turn while they remain in the cloud or until the cloud dissipates. The cloud will vanish in 1 turn per Willpower Modifier of the creature. This has a 2 APC and can be used three times per day.

Colony/Hive Mind Creatures that are a part of a colony or hive mind are considered to be in constant communication with each other via minor telepthy instantly. Colony or hive mind has a 30’ diameter of effect. All creatures that are a part of colony or hive mind gain the following benefits if they are within a 30’ range reach of each other: Alertness Skill Bonus: +50, All Around Vision, Immunity to Penalities from Sneak, Rear, Flank, or Surprise Attacks.

Danger Awareness: If one of the creature is aware of a particular danger then all within the appropriate range(s) is aware of it.

Attack One, Attack All: If one of the creatures is attacked and is within the appropriate range, all creatures in the range become aware of the attack.


Corrupt Water The creature can stagnate 1 cubic foot of water per 10 points of the creature’s Willpower, making it become still, foul, and unable to support life. The ability spoils liquids containing water. Creatures that are in the water, either breathing it or looking through it find that their lungs and eyes sting Stunning them until they leave the area. This has an APC of 1.

Echolocation The creature is able to use their sense of hearing just as well as they would normally use their eyes to locate any object. This is a special form of sight that can be affected by loud, harmful noises causing the creature to go “blind.” The echolocation has a useful range of 120’. It does not suffer any penalties to attack things that are invisible.

Immunity to Element (Water) The creature is immune to certain types of attacks/abilities. Those attacks/abilities to which a creature is immune have no effect on the creature.

Ink Cloud The creature can emit a thick black cloud that is 10’ per size of medium or larger diameter in size in the air and this size is tripled in water, the cloud lasts for 1 phase per Stamina Modifier. The cloud provides total concealment, which the animal can use to escape a losing fight. Others within the cloud suffer the effects of semi-darkness (-50 penalty).

Lethal Shock The creature is able to release an burst of electricity into a 5’ diameter per size above tiny. This shock causes 10 points of damage to all those in the area, in addition those that are in the area must make a Stamina TS 1 per 2 Willpower Modifier of the creature. Those that fail this check will be Stunned (refer to Legends of Kralis for information). This has Action Point Cost of 1. This can be used once per day per 2 Willpower modifier of the creature.



Gwarro are an ancient race of aquatic beings that are well known for their hatred of all things that are "above-dwelling". They are the size of most humans, are covered in silvery fish scales, with long fingers, and distended, flipper looking feet. Their heads are large and round, they have numerous tentacles that surround a mouth filled with rows of triangular shaped teeth. They have large solid black eyes that sit on either side of the heads. Their long necks are ribbed with gills. An average gawarro stands roughly 5' and weigh about 200 pounds.
