The Great Pact

The Great Pact is a promise in blood between the barbarian ancestors of modern day Panthiasians, that was created during the tyranny of the demon Asarki and his minions. The Pact holds that so long as an heir of the Morinog Tribe sits in rule of Panthias, the earth dragon clan Kruthigar will back the throne and rule of this heir against foreign armies and invasions from the realms of chaos. As part of this pact, once every hundred years one of the dragon clan permanently alters its shape to assume the form of an Isande and marries into the Morinog clan, this is also followed by a Morinog family member having their form permanently altered into that of an earth dragon to be mated into the Kruthigar clan. This is done in similar fashion as pre-arranged marriages are done amongst other kingdoms to ensure an ensuing peace and cooperation. This has created a bloodline between the two clans that has had interesting consequences among the dragons and the barbarians.
