The Kingdom of Nashatras is a realm without hope a dark empire. It is a land that has fallen to the whims of infernal kind. It is the end result of what many thought of as the greatest human empire in all of Kralis.

After the fall of the Renarthal Civilization in 1,765 B.F.A. refugee isande clans move southward from the destroyed lands of Renarthal into what was Lower Renarthal. Many moved into the region surrounding the Salhatur Hills and establish the large village of Naash-Rhes. The governing remnants of Renarthal create Realm of Aslunna, with its capital of Grundarth situated on the eastern edge of the ravaged land of the Vast. From 1,765 to 1,205 B.F.A, the Kingdom of Nashatras is formed through the efforts of several noble isande leaders from the various villages of Naash-Rhes, Ahtaris, Forthas, Minashar, and Morghal.

They divide the kingdom into five baronies with each village establishing itself as the capital of its specific barony. For the next 200 hundred years, the Kingdom of Nashatras flourishes as each barony gains in power and strength. It is a kingdom that is essentially cut off from the rest of the world. It has a number of trading houses that travel to the Kingdom of Panthias, however, these trading meets are done with a great deal of suspicion and little trust.

In 1,005 civil war breaks out between the baronies of Naash-Resh and Ahtaris over control of the recently discovered veins of gold in the Salhatur Hills, this ultimately brings the remaining baronies into the war as they attempt to overtake or overthrow each other to gain more power and control of the kingdom. Anarchy and war plagues Nashatras for more than 150 years.

Mala, sensing the escalating violence in the Kingdom sends several priests from the Dark Blade city of Gurish to influence even further destruction and war. It is at this time that legend holds that Mala sent the demon Hutharagog to visit with the Fury Lord Morgiana Cygne and in an unholy union the Fury Lord becomes pregnant and within weeks gives birth to a girl, she is named Hecate Darkmoon. Hecate gains most of her knowledge during her tutelage by he demon Hutharagog and the church in order to prepare her for her ultimate destiny, the tyrannical rule of Nashatras.

In the summer of 855 B.F.A. on the first new moon of the month of Lehet, Queen Hecate Darkmoon and her army of karnacks, hiisi, oracs, and several fiends from the plane of Hishnat rises from the depths of Gurish in the hills of Salhatur and seize the barony of Ahtaris. Queen Hecate and her dark army soon seize power and quell the civil war within a year of them taking Ahtaris. Soon a dark peace embraced the kingdom.

Soon after seizing complete power in the entire kingdom Queen Hecate settles in Ahtaris and begins to reign over the kingdom. She demanded subservience from each of the baronies, those that fail to do so have their rulers replaced by a Harsh Lord loyal to the Queen.

Slowly over time the Kingdom of Nashatras has become a land of evil, ruled by the iron fist of the Queens of Nashatras. Most of the noble houses that have been created from the dark regime deal frequently with fiends and demons from which they gain power to continue their various conflicts ranging from political arena to out right war against each other. Despite the promotion of demon worship and other infernal influences, the commoners of the realm live their lives as they have for hundreds of years, but always are they in fear of the demons and fiends that are known to stalk the nights as they do the various corrupt and evil barons.

Nashatras is well known by those in the north to be a willing thrall of the goddess Mala and her demonic and infernal legions. Because of the government's dissent-quelling policies most people very rarely and openly complain about the status quo. This has caused the people of Nashatras to be very untrusting and insular.
