Loikar River

The Loikar River is a fast moving river, with numerous waterfalls and dangerous lengths of rapids that make traveling up the river nearly impossible by anything bigger than a canoe or small raft. Most of the river has dug into the earth, creating very deep, steep and rocky cliffs predominated by blue-green granite stone.

A number of times the river collects in small lakes at the base of the waterfalls. These deep cold pools are often the home to fierce creatures, such as water dragons, or alutyr giants. Many times these pools become the last resting places of lost adventurers, monsters and more. Leaving them haunted and dark filled with negative energy.

It also acts like a strong barrier (many would say defense) from the ravages of the barbarian tribes against Solthania. The river at its smallest point across is just under 90 feet while at its widest it is only 200 feet. There are many rope bridges situated along the river, most are in horrific shape. Along the granite walls through out the length of the river there areas of cave openings that are rumored to dive into the depths of deep earth.
