The Lord of Questions, God of Magic

As god of magic, Magnara the Lord of Questions is the most pompous of all the gods and this is identified in his priests and worshippers who are primarily bards, wizards, shamans and a few monks. The Lord of Questions is a neutral deity.

As god of magic he controls all aspects of the functioning of spells from the divine to the arcane. Despite the fact that all gods are able to give their priests spells to cast in their name, Magnara has control over if the function and if they finction properly. Those that have angered Magnara may find themselves unable to cast their spells, whether they are divine or arcane.

Dogma

Magic is not evil. Love it for what it is. Use it for what is was meant to do. Do not use your art with wanton abandonment. Temper power with wisdom and reason. Do not hoard to yourself the knowledge of new creations. Make copies of your discoveries and spread them among the churches of magic. Teach the wielding of magic through its proper use. Let no living creature be undirected in the use of magic.

Tenets

The Laws of Magnara ARE the laws of magic. Each of these laws have been created to further the pursuit of knowledge and to further the knowledge that magic is a gift of the gods and is to be treated with respect. Those who do not obey these laws are likely to find their connection to the Great Flow cut and unattainable.

Laws of Magnara

1) Respect the Law of Contagion. For things that have once been together continue to act upon each other.

2) Up hold the Law of Knowledge. With understanding comes control and power.

3) Understand the Law of Association. The reaction of one thing give understanding of another.

4) Never forsake the Law of Similarity. Like produces Like.

5) Always obey the Law of Pragmatism. If it exists it must be true.

6) Never use your power to destroy the Great Flow.

7) Never doubt yourself. In doubt there is no knowledge.

8) Never forget that your Power is a Gift.
