Nax

Spanning the whole of the Gilgamrath Prime Plane, Nax is the plane of eternal smoke. It is the top most layer of the prime sitting above Hell and Orijux. It is an empty, endless plane filled with despair. It is a near flat, featureless plane made up of harsh unforgiving ground, low brush of thick, thorny bushes and the occasional fetid swamp that bubbles up sulfur from its depths.

Known as the Smoking Wastes, it is known for the massive wars that often erupt between various foul gods and demonic hordes bent on each others destruction. It is a place of war, hopelessness and despair. As a place of wasting it drains life from travelers and destroys their dreams and subjugates them to misery.

It is a dull place. The earth is ashen gray with harsh, sharp rocks that dig deep wounds. There is no color here everything is either black, white or ashen gray and the plane is bathed in a bleak radiance of gray that seems to come from everywhere.

Planar Traits

Nax has the following traits:

Philosophy· Evil; Good creatures are unable to rest or relax; All travelers to the plane suffer a despair penalty causing all actions to suffer -50 to all attempts

Gravity· Normal (Gravity has the same effect as in the Terra)

Time· Normal (Time moves normally as in the Terra)

Energy Trait· Gain 1 point of insanity for every week within the Plane

Magic Trait· Normal (All magic functions normally)

Infinite Size · The plane may expand infinitely (its borders are bound by its connections to the other planes.)

Nax borders Prax Dyn, Hishnat, Kiltaryx, Nyx, and Urnuith.

Portals from Nax to other planes outside of Neter-Kheret appear as pools of thick gray smoke.

Planar Inhabitants

Nax is home to those that were particularly selfish individuals as mortals. They ignored the moral compass that would direct them towards a selfless life, but were rather malicious and filled with desire to cheat other mortals of their lives. These beings come to this place as maggots that feed upon those that travel here only to end up exploding from overeating and beginning the whole process over again.

The plane is also home to a number of creatures including Lamic and Mafrus demons as well as Black Annis, Black Dogs and Golgarth.
