Mistress of the Night, Goddess of Death and Vengeance, Lady Night Shade

Revenge, death and the night all belong to the Nyraxia, Lady Night Shade. Nyraxia is the goddess of death and vengeance, she is also the keeper of the Book of Lies, where in all foul or misdeeds are written to later be exacted from the being that committed the deed. She is a neutral-evil god.

Born of the goddess Gishra she is more akin to her dark father Azahak, Nyraxia personifies the night, sleep, death, and chaos. She is portrayed as a golden-skinned woman that rides upon a two-head tiger. She has eight arms each bearing a weapon that was given to her by the gods themselves. She wears a necklace of skulls and is often associated with the mountains.

As the dreaded woman of vengeance she is responsible to guiding souls of the guilty to the lower reaches of Orijax, Mitlan or even Hell.

Dogma

The night is your ally, vengeance is your weapon and death your constant companion. The night is a time to act, to move against your foes and subvert the world. Fear not what lies in the dark recesses of the night. The darkness is the balancer, the true equalizer. The Blessing of Nyraxia is with those that act in the night under the cover of her darkness.

Tenets

As the goddess of the night, Nyraxia views the world through dark eyes by which she judges her faithful and those that oppose her will. It is her desire to have the night be both filled with danger and excitement more than any other time. In order to strive for this goal she has spoken the Commandments of the Night.

Commandments of the Night

1) Protect the Night and that which takes place in its comfort.

2) To use the Night for purposes other than secrecy is a sin

3) Strive always to conceal your actions in the day and insure your success in the night.

4) Fight with cold efficiency.

5) Always attempt to acquire knowledge that is secret and can be used for vengeance.

6) Always protect the young.

7) Never portray your feelings in the light.

8) to disobey Nyraxia is to suffer a life of terrible vengeance in the Night.
