The Wise Father, God of Wisdom, the True Word

The keeper of the Tome of Life, Odiryn is the god of Wisdom, Learning and Writing. The second born from the creation of the omniverse by Elal, Odiryn was given the responsibility of keeping the written record of the Celestial Omniverse. Through him all things are known, he writes the future, knows the present and understands all that has transpired. Odiryn is a neutral god.

His temples and sanctuaries can be found in every large city in the world and is revered most among monks or priests of knowledge. A few wizards actively worship him, often becoming a cleric as well.

Dogma

Pure knowledge, conceptual knowledge, raw and unyielding knowledge. These are the pursuits of life. Knowledge is power, it must be used and treated with great respect. Knowledge that is not used with respect leads to death and destruction. Keep no idea contained. Do all in your power to forward ideas. Take to heart any idea no matter how wild,crazy or insane. Always keep your mind open to new concepts and ideas. Doing so will always keep you in touch with the True Word.


Tenets

Being the deity of wisdom, learning, and writing, the dogmas and tenets of Odiryn bear in mind the deity’s pursuit of knowledge.

Most priests that follows Odiryn truly desire to obtain all the knowledge that they can, in order to keep for future generations. The Laws of Odiryn are used to help priests continue the search for knowledge of all types. Once per year, priests are required to report to any one of the many great temples in order to deliver to the church all the knowledge that they have required.

The Laws of Odiryn or the Tuana De Laisha are as follows:

1) Pursuit of knowledge is all that truly matters

2) Know thyself

3) Know thy craft

4) Learn

5) Apply Knowledge with Wisdom

6) Keep thy words in order

7) Keep thy thoughts in good Order

8) Attune with the cycles of Knowledge

9) Meditate

A Common Prayer that is used to celebrate the knowledge of Odiryn follows:

Odiryn! Keeper of the gates between the worlds. Hear us!

Open the gates to Celestial Knowledge That we may commune with our ancestors, The spirits of this place, And the gods
