At the beginning of all things, there were two great forces or beings: The One and the Great Chaos. Who or What the One is, is a matter of great theological debate. What is known, however, is that the One was the first, true "god" that formed the whole of the known universe by defeating and molding the Great Chaos into the known worlds, planes and other places of existence. The One is neither a god of good nor evil, but rather a being of guidance bearing witness to both good and evil and is seen by many cultures as the Great Father of All or Caretaker. Others, see the One as the Great Mother and still others see the One as neither male nor female.

The One is best described as the creator of all, including the three Overlords Elal, Gishra and Azahak. The One exists out of time and space even for the gods. There are no temples or places of worship for the One, as the One, while the creator god, does not need worshippers to exist, the One exists eternally, just as the Great Chaos exists eternally.

What transpires between the gods and the worlds is of no concern to the One, so long as the Great Chaos remains locked away in the core of the world of Kralis and that the gods of Kralis and the Omniverse adhere to the Laws of Creation.
