The Northern Realms are one of the darkest lands in all of Ta Los. While not dark and evil as the lands of the Baronies to the south, it is a cold, stark region filled with dense forests of pine, aspen, spruce and many more dedicious trees. It is also home to six kingdoms and many clans of monsters that dwell in the dark forests of this realm.

Although dark and solemn, the Northern Realms provide dramatic and beautiful vistas of imprisoned vales, and tall, imposing mountain ranges.

The center of the Northern Realms is dominated by an upland plain upon which the borders of the Kingdoms of Panthias, Myanothia, Ceithlenn and the elven realms of Ta-Kanasiti all meet. The plain is completely engulfed in gigantic trees known as Sah-Rizaa, an ancient tree that can reach heights of nearly 400 feet and have trunks that are tens of feet around.

Surrounding this whole plain are three magnificent mountain ranges called: the Cethia Mountains, the Sazar Crys and the Via' Asthierr Mountains. These mountains serve as natural borders between Myanothia and Ceithlenn and Myanothia and the Duchy of Harr to the south.

The lands on either sides of these mountains are filled with thick forests that are cut apart by mighty rivers that flow into the Sea of Dragons and the Sea of Tears.

An ancient length of low mountains and highlands cut across the Northern Realms separating the Kingdoms of Panthias and Nathak. These ancient highlands are chalky white and have very little forest on them. They are plains covered by tall, thick grasses that are separated by hundreds of pools and small lakes.
