Founded in 735 B.F.A. by priests of Azahak, the realm of Pash Tar has become a very powerful influence of evil in the Eastern Realms. It has cultivated and grown a reputation for decadence, injustice, slavery, cruelty, savagery, violence, and the unified worship of Azahak. It is ruled by the corrupt priests of the Courts of Decay as well as a number of foul nobles that care more about abusing their power than anything else.

The majority of the citizens, having been down trodden since the establishment of Pash Tar have themselves become corrupt and decadent, filling their time with self-serving plots and backstabbing each other over the pettiest causes.

The nation is ultimately governed by the force and intimidation of the Church of Azahak. The priests of Azahak ruthlessly control every facet of the state and economy. This has given the Church of Azahak a wide berth of power and control in order to further the goals of Azahak since the war of the Accursed Lands nearly 3,300 years prior to the establishment of the realm and Azahak banishment from Kralis.

From north to south Pash Tar runs just under 2,000 miles of coastline along the Sea of Magnara and runs a little less than 1,500 miles west to east. It is bordered by the kanus realm of Zak-Cha in the north, the Kingdom of Nazhryn to the east and the orc nations of Azthak and Kal-Jurik to the south. It is mostly dominated by flat plains, however, the western arm of the realm is dominated by the Latish Hills that run from the shores of the Sea of Magnara to the foot of the Grecanor Mountains.

The priests of Azahak have not let the realm to fall into disarray, rather through various means they have built Pash Tar into a very civilized land. The realm is known for its roads, aqueducts, sprawling ranches, farms and a number of grand cities. The area between these areas of civilization, as they are through out all of the civilized lands of Kralis, are largely unpopulated with miles of wild grasslands and small pockets of trees scattered here and there. This often makes travel from one city or town to another relatively dangerous. Often these lightly populated regions are claimed by one noble house or another and its roads and important places occasionally patrolled by some form of authority. The overall environment of Pash Tar is diverse as a result of the natural conditions, location, and extensive cultivation of the land.

Despite the heavy handed influence and control of the Church of Azahak, corruption is rampant through out the various cities, and noble controlled areas. Not all nobles, leaders and religious bureaucrats are corrupt, but a good 40% are rotten to the core and serve themselves before they serve the church. Most expect to be bribed to look the other way.

While the Church of Azahak is the absolute power within the realm, the various Noble Houses are the backbone of this power and government. They administrate the cities and the regions. They establish the laws, create the trade agreements, establish the restrictions, rules, regulations and conduct of the population. While the Church establishes and taxes, tariffs and other fees, it is left to the Noble Houses to collect them in whatever means they see fit.
