Tallak, or "True Land" in Nuckcha the language of the trolls, sits squarely in the middle of the Western Realms. By comparison to the great realms of the west that surround this realm, Tallak is a very primitive nation. All of Tallak sits in a deep basin that sinks inward towards the mountains of the north. The greater part of Tallak is covered in lush forests, and deep cold swamps. There are a number of rocky formations that jut out of the ground like fingers. Many of these rise to 900 to 1100 feet in height and are several miles wide. The trolls worship these formations as they believe that at the time of creation they were chiseled from these.

Tallak is littered with hundreds of villages. These villages are made up of five or ten clans that have forged a bond together. Most villages have a single central point building called a Muuk. It is a large circular building with several entrances. Within it there are three walls, that make up halls with a single entrance, giving the interior a maze like feature that enhances the overall security of the place. This hall is where the whole clan keeps their artifacts, treasure and other important objects of the clan. The Muuk is also home to the clan shaman and the ruling clan family.

Surrounding the Muuk are the various houses of the clan families. Each one is built with its door facing the Muuk and like spokes of a wagon surround the Muuk.
